Felicity Chen

XR Filmmaker | Experience Designer & Audio Designer

With a degree in Drama and Film Studies and a Master’s in Immersive Factual Storytelling, her filmmaking journey began in China, was nurtured in the UK, and has since ventured into the realms of virtual imagination. Her work delves into the diversity and nuances of female experiences, queerness and shared spaces, blending the embodiment of role-playing games with the intimacy of audio storytelling.

Her current project in development, Persona, is an immersive documentary that was selected by Biennale College Cinema Immersive and will premiere at the Venice Film Festival in August 2026. As director and producer, she was supported by BFI Doc Society as a UK delegate to pitch Persona at CPH:DOX. She was also selected as an XR Forum Artist at Sheffield DocFest 2025.
